Events going on in Scotland – Glasgow Film Festival
When we think of film festivals the places that come to mind are the likes of Venice, Berlin and of course Cannes. However the annual Glasgow Film Festival is going from strength to strength and this year’s programme promises to be the best yet. Running from the 16th – 26th February, the festival will spread across the city, using 16 different venues to host a variety of screenings, interactive cinema-themed events and special guests. For the young there is also the dedicated Glasgow Youth Film Festival, which acts as a timely introduction to the film festival as it runs from the 5th – 15th February. With its proximity and transport links to the capital, you could even combine a visit to the festival with a stay in one of the many great serviced apartments in Edinburgh offers.
